For over 22 years Erik J. Bednarek has been studying and practicing within the landscape industry. He obtained degrees in Arboriculture & Park Management from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture and Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Erik has an in depth background in the construction and design industries, which makes his knowledge and assistance unique and valuable. Erik has gone onto practice professionally at various landscape construction companies throughout the United States along with working at nationally recognized organizations including: The Walt Disney World Company, Greenscape, Inc. and Bartlett Tree Experts. His professional design experience culminates from top engineering and design firms in New England, which has resulted in leading highly prominent projects such as the Longfellow Bridge & Parks Rehabilitation Project on the historic Esplanade in Boston, Massachusetts.
Erik's diverse academic and professional background has also lead to designing and managing a multitude of complex and prominent projects in Nantucket, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Illinois, Texas, Tennessee and Arizona. He has received various awards from the Massachusetts Horticultural Society and has been involved in many sustainable and LEED certified projects including the LEED Certified Carmax World Headquarters in Virginia. He has collaborated extensively with state organizations such as Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). His residential community experience spans nationally designing communities and distinguished estates throughout the Northeast and Mid Atlantic including Tennessee and Texas.
Most importantly, Erik's work ethic focuses heavily on developing close relationships with his Clients that foster honesty, integrity, creativity, dedication and a passion for constructing functional and memorable places. Brett O.
Has 18 years of professional experience as a skilled landscape architect possessing knowledge and expertise in various project types with a focus on the management, design, documentation, and the construction process. His work experience as a project manager encompasses a wide range of project types including work within the public realm through design and implementation of multiple parks, urban parks, streetscapes, mixed use, academic and institutional projects. A graduate of the University of Georgia in 1999, Brett has spent the last 18 years contributing as a designer and project manager to prominent Landscape Architecture firms on many successful and several award-winning projects throughout the United States, with a focus on the Southeastern and New England Regions. Brett has extensive knowledge relating to project management, design, detailing, construction documentation, and construction administration/observation.
Melanie B.
As a civil engineer, Melanie worked at firms such as VHB, Inc. and Coler & Colantonio handling storm water design, subdivision layouts and environmental remediation studies. While her civil engineering days are behind her, she now focuses on health wellness initiatives and is the assistant office and marketing manager for EJB Designs, LLC.
